12x24 craft plywood $0.75/sheet

I’m seeing “3mm baltic birch premium craft plywood” at $5-8 per 12x24" sheet.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Utility-Panel-Common-1-8-in-x-4-ft-x-8-ft-Actual-0-106-in-x-48-in-x-96-in-833096/100543684#overlay is not “premium”, but it’s pretty nice. Also listed at 2.7mm (I haven’t measured it, yet) not 3mm.

However, a $12 sheet makes 16 12x24 cuts. So $0.75 each…

Yes, this is defiantly not “premium” ply. I have played with this material and I can tell you that it does not cut uniformly due to the gluing processes and void fillers used. This is exacerbated when using lower wattage CO2 tubes such as the ones found in the K40 lasers.

You do get what you pay for when purchasing laser quality ply.

Yeah, “everybody” local is out of stock right now. This gives me plenty for testing and stuff that’s not critical.
