It hangs, but never crashes. As far as I can tell no crash log is generated. I am not sure how to get any more information about what is happening. This isn’t the only time it hangs, but it’s the most repeatable.
Dos the hang still happen if you start a new empty project and switch devices, or is it only when a certain project is loaded?
Please send your support data to support@lightburnsoftware.com and let us know which device you were using and which device you were trying to switch to when the hang occurred. And include the project file involved if relevant.
This happens to me too - just installed on MacOs 26.5 on ARM CPU (yes rosetta is installed) and when I try to change the port (not device) from the generic one when LB starts up to be the actual port my laser is connected to LB just hangs. I had to uninstalled 2.1 and re-install 1.7 to get it working again. I’ll re-install 2.1 along side 1.7 and grab support data and send it along.
OK, What?!
I just re-installed 2.1 along side 1.7 and now both work just fine. Not sure if something just went wrong with the initial install of 2.1 or if having 1.7 and 2.1 installed together is what fixed it. Very odd, but glad its working now.
I updated to 2.1.02 and it seems to be resolved. I will send an email if the problem returns.
