In BSL now dosnt work require “full pulse” to start.
And Enable red light button dosnt work too.(Red dot always on)
That’s worrying. Are you on MacOS or Windows?
When you say "Require Full Pulse to start" doesn't work, do you mean you enabled the setting, but the laser already starts when you press the pedal, not only when it gets released?
Or the pedal doesn’t work at all?
Not every device supports this option. Does this still work on your machine with the same settings in 2.1 ?
We recently touched this because of a rare framing issue if the setting was enabled, but unsupported by the controller.
Hello,
We are currently experiencing the following issues with the BSL control cards:
- “Full pulse require” function is not working: All I/O ports output only a very short pulse, regardless of this setting.
- “Enable red light” button issue: The red light button does not function properly. The red light only works when it is set to “always on”. I mean button on main menu ignored on/off
- Cor files ignore orientation settings: The BSL correction (.cor) files completely ignore “XY swap”, “X invert”, and “Y invert” settings. This is a major problem for systems where Galvo 1 or Galvo 2 is inverted.
I tested this on a Monport BSL galvo yesterday and didn’t find anything unusual. If “Require Full Pulse Start” is enabled, the job only starts when the pedal is released after a press.
Note, that I’m using a “Low” signal here. The Port 1 on this controller is “normally high” and changes “Low” when the pedal is pressed.
If “Require Full Pulse Start” is disabled, the job would already start when the pedal is pressed, before it’s being released.
What do you see in the IO Ports in Device Settings here when you press the pedal?
(I wasn’t connected to the machine when this was taken. If it’s connected, Port 1 is green, turns to red if it’s pressed, and then changes back to green when released.)
You probably mean this button in the “Laser” window
This button is only available if “Red Dot Always on” is enabled in the Device Settings. (But you need to cycle to a different device and back in order for this to update.)
Not every machine supports turning off the red assist laser at all, so “Red Dot Always on” might not have an effect. It’s also possible that the controller needs to be power-cycled for it to update properly!
If the COR file is accurate, it should already be in the correct orientation.
Scale, Bulge, Skew, and Trapezoid are correctly greyed out if a .COR file is loaded, because that file takes precedence these options.
I’m not sure if it’s possible to use a .COR file and change only the Galvo Orientation
These four options:
I’ll ask the team. Thank you for your feedback!
@DaniilGorid I’ve branched our posts to this separate thread, so we can follow the topic more closely.
Hello! https://youtube.com/shorts/AYfO1oofwNU?feature=share this is a cor file problem
https://youtube.com/shorts/-QoimDdDzsA?feature=share this is a problem of io ports
P.S. we are trying to made our control board on teensy 4.1 and i want to know how much i need to pay for add control card in a lightburn devices in a future?
You posted this in the 2.2 PreRelease section, but in the Video, you are using LightBurn Version 2.1.04.
We’re interested in seeing how this works in the latest PreRelease version.
As you know, we need to work with BSL’s library to talk to those controllers. We don’t directly read the .COR file, but their library does.
Changing the “XYDIR” parameters in the .COR file is probably a good idea, but you likely need to load the .COR file again in the Device Settings.
Ports and Red Dot:
From your video, it appears that Port 0 is active when the start button is not pressed.
If that’s true, “LOW” signal is correct.
You also have Port 1 set for both “Stop Marking” and “Focus Light” those are probably confilicting.
If Port 0 is red when the button is not pressed: Set the Signal to “High”
Please review my previous post about the Device Settings.
I ran some more tests on two BSL galvos and found that “Require Framing Before Start” isn’t working as expected.
When enabled in the Device Settings, the first click on the pedal on the “Start Marking” port should open the framing window, and the second press would start the job.
Currently the job starts engraving with the first pedal press, without framing first.
I created an internal report for this. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
Sorry, ive opened old version, but in rc version it works simillar
Yes. It dosnt work. Button work like pulse start with repeat
Hello i check dbk21b control card with latest rc5
Button start like short pulse.
Are you referring to “Require ‘full pulse’ to Start”?
Please try to be more specific: which settings you are using, what your ecpected results are, and what happened instead.
ok i will made a stand for testings all functions and make to you report
