300mm lens on a 30W Galvo scanner fiber laser

I have a 30W fiber Galvo Scanner laser. My question is…is buying and using a 300mm lens practical or should I consider 210mm as large usable

The larger the lens, the less power would will output to the material.

The larger lens will also “zoom” your spot size. - So a smaller lens can engrave finer details.

I’d recommend the smaller lens. Which objects are you planning to engrave?

We have Split Marking in the works. This will work similarly to Rotary Marking, but built especially to be used with a linear table.

Thank you, AAron.F for your valuable information. However, I am not planning to engrave at all. My idea is to do marking images on ionized aluminum. I would not even try to engrave without a more powerful machine than a 30W machine. If you have any ideas on this plan, I would greatly
appreciate it. Thanks again. I look forward for your suggestion(s)
