Try doing a full reset of the Mac. I’m not sure which USB device the 3018 is using, but if it’s an FTDI chip, they have some known driver conflict issues on MacOS.
The demo version of Lightburn works perfectly under Parallel Windows 10, installed on my iMac.

I suggest you use that then. Windows does not have the driver issues that MacOS does - it’s specific to the operating system, not the hardware.

You selected a camera, not a laser. And without a laser configured, LightBurn is trying to store the camera you chose with the laser you have selected, but you don’t have one selected, and it died. (this is a bug, and it has been fixed already, but you have to set up a laser before you can use the camera feature).

LightBurn works fine. The drivers for your laser are the issue. MacOS ships with a driver that conflicts with the drivers used by FTDI devices. It’s also possible that your board uses a CH340, which you might not have a driver installed for. I do not know which chip your 3018 uses for communication.
