3018pro laser not burning

Hi from a newbie. Recently acquired 3018pro with laser module, can’t get the thing to burn at all. I have spent ages reading all of the associated topics etc but I’m obviously missing something! My current console dump is this:
$0=10 (step pulse, usec)
$1=25 (step idle delay, msec)
$2=0 (step port invert mask:00000000)
$3=0 (dir port invert mask:00000000)
$4=0 (step enable invert, bool)
$5=0 (limit pins invert, bool)
$6=0 (probe pin invert, bool)
$10=1 (status report mask:00000001)
$11=0.010 (junction deviation, mm)
$12=0.002 (arc tolerance, mm)
$13=0 (report inches, bool)
$20=0 (soft limits, bool)
$21=0 (hard limits, bool)
$22=0 (homing cycle, bool)
$23=0 (homing dir invert mask:00000000)
$24=25.000 (homing feed, mm/min)
$25=500.000 (homing seek, mm/min)
$26=250 (homing debounce, msec)
$27=1.000 (homing pull-off, mm)
$100=800.000 (x, step/mm)
$101=800.000 (y, step/mm)
$102=800.000 (z, step/mm)
$110=800.000 (x max rate, mm/min)
$111=800.000 (y max rate, mm/min)
$112=800.000 (z max rate, mm/min)
$120=10.000 (x accel, mm/sec^2)
$121=10.000 (y accel, mm/sec^2)
$122=10.000 (z accel, mm/sec^2)
$130=200.000 (x max travel, mm)
$131=200.000 (y max travel, mm)
$132=200.000 (z max travel, mm)

ok I hope there’s something there that jumps out at one of you experienced people! The laser moves around the piece as if it is working but just the blue laser, just doesn’t seem to be powerful enough to burn. I tried the $32=1 as well, no change.
THANKS.

According to your firmware settings, you don’t have $32, so changing that won’t help.

How fast are you trying to go? Diode lasers are slow, but if it’s focused properly you should be getting a burn in wood or non-white paper at 50mm/sec and 100% power.

I might be wrong but if you do not have the firmware version 1.1f or newer the number 32 setting will not show up. Try updating your firmware. I may be wrong and @LightBurn probably knows more about it but when i set mine up i needed to update to get the $32 setting. You might also want to copy your setting now you may lose them and it will go back to the default settings.

Thanks, it may be that I need to install the latest firmware, stay tuned.
