3d slice not rendering. Job completed 0:00

I’ve imported a powermapped image into lightburn, used a control layer to crop it to the coin size I’m trying to engrave. When I hit start, the status line immediately jumps to “ready” and the bottom status line reports job completed in 0:00. It doesn’t display the rendering progress box or engage the laser.

It was working yesterday. I was having some jobs failing after some progress. I found the USB sleep was enabled and changed my cable. The laser is working fine for marking and other modes in LB, so I don’t think it’s a laser/connectivity problem. It seems to be a software problem with LB.

I’m wondering if old renders are cached on disk somewhere and interfering with new jobs or… ?
Anyone have any ideas?

Can we see a screenshot of the layer?

You did set the number of passes?

What does the preview show?

Lightburn doesn’t save any of it’s generated code, so I think you are missing something in the layer configuration end of things.

I just found it. My mask/control layer had “frame” turned off.

Preview was blank. LB thought nothing to laser

Turning frame: on seems to have resolved the problem.

Great, I’ll mark your answer the solution…

Make it a habit to using preview… it will save you time and material…

Have fun
