Can anyone tell me if files created on a Windows computer running a 32 bit OS can be run or used on a different computer running a 64 bit OS? And vice-versa. Have 64 bit in the house and an older 32 bit in the garage at the machine.

No issue at all. You will want to ensure assets used are available on both machines, such as fonts. You can also convert the text to paths first to ensure the output looks the same no mater which system you run the file from.
