Hi
We have a 60w Galvo JPT Fibre
We are trying to engrave but it comes out fuzzy
Anyone have experience with this or have right settings?
The one on left is what it should like. We have tried different focus settings and parameters

If you zoom in on the photograph you will see clear defined outline on the left but fuzzy outline on the right.
What is the difference between the two, I can see the results, just wondering how you got one good one and a poor one?
If we can figure out what worked correctly before, maybe it will help us find a solution.
Hi,
The first one was a sample that was done by another firm.
We are new to laser engraving and have trolled the net for info, so far nothing comes close to the sample.
For things like that, I use just one pass (with cross hatch), 0.02 interval
Anodized aluminium should be very easy to engrave
Have you dialed in your timing settings? Can you share the .lbrn2 file?
The highlighted areas make me suspect it could be timing related, but I’m unclear on the absolute scale of the object
Hi
The grade of Aluminium and type of anodising matter.
6082 Aluminium or 5XXX series is not a problem
7000 series not a problem as well, I mark 7075 evey day
I have attached the lightburn file (with crosshatch) and finished item
It’s still fuzzy
Regards
I get similar results if out of focus or not enough power
hi
The focus is not a problem. The manufacturer suggested 274 cm and we did a focus test and reckon it is 273 (175x175 mm lens). We are using 60 pct power.
It works fine on 6082 with black hard anodising but doesn’t on 7075
Regards
It was a focus issue in the end.
7075 is harder than 6082 though
