9 Point Distortion Correction - Not Working

I’m new to working with lasers and LB, so please bear with me.

I’m trying to run 9 point calibration/correction. I’ve set up the work space as recommended (I have a 150mm, and it auto set to about 130mm), but when I click “start”, nothing happens. I know it’s not an issue with the connection to the laser because I CAN make a mark - when I load a file - it marks pretty well. I just want to calibrate and align before I start working with more important stuff and heavier workloads. I’ve watched YouTube videos from “Laser Everything”, which shows a step by step on how to run 9-point, but it’s just not doing anything.

This is a new Monport 30W Fiber Laser. Any help is appreciated.

What material are you marking on for the calibration? I assume you have the focus dialed in already.

As the YouTube video i watched recommended, (and since I don’t have the “laser tape” they mentioned), I’m just using a piece of black construction paper. And yes, the focus/distance is dialed in.

Update.

I tried a different kind of construction paper, and it showed up. Apparently not all construction papers are the same.

Thanks for your help.
