A5 Pro Hits Rails when I click "Home" in Lightburn

Hi,

I am trying to set the homing location to X=0 Y=0 which is the “bottom left” of my laser. When I turn the laser on, it’s in that location. If I hit “Home” it’ll continue moving to the bottom left and hitting the rails and just runs in that area until I turn off the laser (only way I can find to stop all movement).

I ran code G92 X0 Y0 when it’s in that location, no change. I moved the laser head to the “Top Right” of the laser before I turned it on and hit home. It does the same by going to the Bottom Left and running into the rails. I have set the working area to 410 x 400.

Nothing seems to change the issue and I am new to Lightburn and laser engraving.

Using the Home function requires limit switches. Are you sure they are are on your machine? If so, are they located where the machine is trying to go?

Thank you. My device does not having homing switches, I assumed you could “set” home to the first location after start.

I am using origin now with the camera, which I am having issues with and need to figure out how to use better.

Thx for the help.

You can’t use a camera without limit switches. You need exact repositioning at every restart. Technically, you could use a mechanical endstop, but better add limit switches right-away.
