A70 Max stuttering during movement

Hi

I ordered a Atomstack A70 Max. I set the machine up, but when I try to move the laser to home position with Lightburn, the movement is stuttering and an alarm is triggered and the homing is aborted. Lightburn returns alarm 1, 6, 9 and 11. I tried to loosen belt tension on Y both axis, but it did not seem to help. I have a video of the behaviour and my lightburn settings under:

Please help me with fixing this behaviour.

Best regards

Alex

What corner is home for this machine? What origin did you select?

Take the first error you find and figure out that problem. Sometimes the fixes many or all of them.

You can google grbl alarm 1 and it will tell you what it means.

Have you used any of the setups specified by Atomstack for using Lightburn?

@misken is good with these, hang in there.

Origin is bottom left. I followed the instruction manual setting up the machine. This is not my first laser. The movement seems, like something is broken, dont you think?

It looks like the y-axis is blocked. If you move it manually, does it move freely? Do you feel any resistance? The belts look way to loose, better try to fasten them instead of loosen them. If the belts don’t move but just shake, the motor connection might be loose / broken.

Thanks for your answer!

When I push the laser manually, it moves without large resistance. If I lift the frame by 45 degrees, the unit is moving slowly but fluidly. Before I loosend the belt tension, there was a stronger resistance when moving and the unit wouldnt move, when lifting the frame.
