If this is indeed correct, in my opinion, you only need to consult the various topics that provide plenty of information about pain with laser engraving. And far more enlightening than any interview.
In my opinion, of course.
Some folks have used the pretense of survey to harvest personal data and email addresses and to build-out lists for marketing.

If you were to ask your questions openly here, I’m confident that several enthusiastic contributors will answer. Open discussion is what makes a forum work.
I see that you have an LP1. I have an LP4 and I like the product.
Do you officially represent one of the major manufacturers?
I definitely know you are correct. But actually I doing my internship and that’s the task that the new startup company gives me. So I have a certain list of questions LOL. But your suggestion really make sense, I would consider how to propose the Qs
To clarify — I’m an intern working with a new startup, not representing any of the major manufacturers. Just trying to understand user experiences and pain points in the laser engraving space.
Happy to post my questions openly here instead, that actually sounds like a better approach. Thanks for the suggestion!
When I read it, I was unsure if the intention was about the “pin point” (which, in my opinion, would make much more sense) or the “pain point,” which is basically the opposite.
Then there’s the issue of the personal data, but that has already been clarified by the “appropriate authorities”.
I’m sure that, depending on the questions asked, there will be no shortage of collaboration.
Hi everyone! I’m an Intern of a startup and doing a survey on pain point and user experience of laser engraving. And one of forum management team suggest I could publicly propose the Questions rather then reach out one by one. (No sales pitch I swear).
Grateful for anyone who click into this post, it will take you 5 minutes.
1* What laser machine do you use now?
2* In the last seven days, how many hours did you actually spend on laser engraving?
3* In your free time, what else do you actually do instead of laser engraving? Last time you chose that alternative, why?
4* Past three months, what’s the one thing that frustrates you most about laser engraving?
5* Past three months, how many curved/metal orders have you actually turned down?(if any)
6* Last time you tried settings for a new material, how many attempts did it actually take to succeed?
7* Last time you did 20 of the same item, how long did swapping/realigning actually take?
And if you are open to deeper questions, just say you are willing to and I’ll also reply you with detail Q!
Chinese upgraded machine, no brand, using only original structure and stepper motors.

Half an hour because I have to repair it when I was running a 5 minute job.
I don’t have free time, I have availability.
In other words, I use laser engraving when I need to or when I have the availability.
At least for now.
If by “that alternative” you mean laser engraving, then it’s for professional reasons.
Not having free time to dedicate to this hobby!
None.

I have never done such a thing.
Given the original topic that gave rise to this questionnaire, can I deduce that this is where questions about pain due to laser engraving are asked?
So far I haven’t seen a question about, for example, What problem did you encounter that most discouraged/deterred you from laser engraving?
Yes! Sure, you must be some marketing person or you have talent on it. We’d like to learn about what frustrates you when engraving, and function you think is not enough hahaha.
1* What is the one specific problem or limitation you’ve encountered that most discouraged or deterred you from laser engraving? Have you ever thought of give up the project because of it?
2* How many creative ideas have you had to give up in because your current machine simply couldn’t handle it (e.g., curved surfaces, metal engraving, or lack of precision)? Could you describe one such project?
3* After a project is done, how much time do you actually spend on cleaning, smoke management, or machine maintenance? Do you find yourself using the machine less often because you dread the cleanup afterward?
4* When you bought your current machine, what was the specific advantage or tipping point that attract you and what makes you not buy a laser machine?
5* When changing product models, how long does setup actually take? Does this ever make you leave the machine idle instead of switching jobs?
6* Anything you want to share, like your opinions or experience or knowledge on engraving. (Actually I’m personally very curious about it cuz I never meet so many laser enthusiasts and in my country most of people thought it’s more about company thing. Seeing the creativity from individual makers like you has been amazing. What’s one thing you think a ‘newbie’ like me should know about the engraving?
Besides all the questions, I was so moved that you are first person answering the questions, so genuinely . Big thanks and love to you!
Apologies, I was under the impression your request was to start a general discussion about laser engraving pain points. The ‘5-min survey’ post goes beyond that. The following was shared with me from our Management Team.
