About lines, about the program

Can someone help me? Doesn’t this program combine open-ended objects?

Not unless you tell it to.

Where would it combine it? … the other end of the circle?

Does the line you squiggled out exist?

:smile_cat:

Nodes in an object connect at most two curves / vectors. There is no way to “combine” the open-ended semicircle with the closed chord, because those nodes would have three curves.

You can delete the chord and join the two open semicircles.

You can join the the two open-ended nodes with a line and snap it exactly atop the chord to get the effect you want.

For example, coreldraw, there is a cut button there, but it is not in our program.

It exists here as well. It’s called node editing. Read the manual about this or watch some videos. This can be used to delete lines from paths that you need to be removed.

Select the shape, hove the mouse over the segment to be removed and press D.

For example, which video?

Here is one to start you out. Older, but still relevant. All are worth review.
