Acmer M2 Roller Connection Failure

I picked up an Acmer S1 laser from a friend. I then purchased the M2 roller kit.

However, I am still a relatively novice user, so there might be settings I am still not aware of yet. I have been able to engrave flat surfaces without any issues. However, I cannot seem to get the rotary module to be recognized properly.

I was able to connect the extension cable, and I enabled the Rotary mode in Lightburn. If I hit Home, the rollers will spin (more than a couple full rotations) and I get an Alarm 9 (which I understand, because it isn’t hitting the Y limit switch).

If I hit Test, I get Alarm 11 on or near line 1, and the rollers do not move at all. I have no idea if I need to change any other settings, but I thought this would be pretty straightforward. Famous last words!

I’m generally stumped as to what to try next. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Well, as is typical of my luck, I solved the issue almost immediately after posting this.

I have literally been trying to figure this out for two days - and after I posted this, I hit the Stop button on Lightburn, and out of sheer happenstance, went back into Rotary settings, hit Test and all of a sudden, it kicked in.

I’ve already made a test engraving and it worked perfectly. Unreal.
