What could be the reason why the power (48w) is not enough to burn through 4mm. plywood? Is there something wrong with the configuration? The lens is clean and everything else should be fine.. The laser engraver is an Acmer P3 48w..
Do a wall test, check your power-supply, for broken wires, and for loose connectors, sometimes the metal connectors slip inside the plug and cause poor connection.
I always use Metric, not Imperial measure. The problem is that Acmer does not have power.. 4mm plywood will burn throw if the adjustment is about 48w/ 100% power, 4mm/sec.. New power supply..? Does it matter which plywood you burn..? Mine is very hard, but wood anyway.. (Sorry my bad English..)
My point is that 4mm/sec is 60 times faster than 4mm/minute
No. This is either a settings issue or a problem with the laser diode. (Review Parsec’s link about Mechanical maintenance.)
If the power supply were failing, it would show different symptoms, like connection losses.
Can you first send us a screenshot of your design and the cut settings, and if possible, a picture of the engraving?
I also have a Creality Falcon 2 pro 40w, it has a more powerful power supply. I have also installed an Acmer P3 48w additional light strip. The Acmer only has a 24v/9a power supply, and I am worried about its adequacy. I need to check the mechanical operation of the LED bulbs. Thank you!
