Hello, I’ve updated Lightburn to the 2.0 version but for my galvo laser it doesn’t play the usual sound anymore when the job finishes. Is there a setting anywhere or how do I fix this issue?

Is “Play Sound on Job Finished” still enabled in your Device Settings?
If this setting is enabled and your speakers are confirmed working, which version did you install? (You’ll find the exact version number at “Help > About LightBurn”).
Yes the setting is enabled and the audio device is working. I think lightburn might be using a different audio device, but I can’t see which one. The version is 2.0.02.
edit: after messing around with my audio devices, the sound is played on some other device, but not the one that is currently active. Can I change it somehow.

How did you confirm, which audio device is currently active?
I’m guessing that LightBurn uses whichever one is active in the Windows or MacOS settings. That would be the same one, a Youtube video would play on for example.
Sidenote: Which Galvo device is this about, and did it trigger the finish sound previously?
Im listening to audio all the time so I know the finish sound isn’t playing on the device that’s currently active in the windows sound settings. Previously it worked fine and always used the device that was currently active. It’s a FCZFiber laser.
I can reproduce it now with a Bluetooth headset.
By default, LightBurn outputs the finished sound on the “Output device” marked in red here:
But, it’s currently required to restart LightBurn if you add another audio device while it’s running.
Can you confirm that the sound plays on the correct device after you restarted LightBurn?
(It is also possible to select a different one for each application in the Windows Volume Mixer (marked in green).
On macOS (Monterey), the finished sound played on the Bluetooth headphones, as soon as they are connected.
