Hi! Turned on my laser and tried to frame but the machine errors immediately and the console shows ad:xxxx with the x’s being numbers that keep going up in sequence. I’ve tried to reset, restart, alarm kill and nothing is working. I’m using a Longer Ray5 20W with the extension table to 850 x 850. It worked fine yesterday. How can I get it back?
That sounds like a controller board software crash. You might try reinstalling the firmware (their website may have instructions) if you can handle that, or order a new board from Longer.
Oh no! They recently replaced the entire laser because of a board failure.
No warranty it was a new machine. It could be a repackaged return that they could not duplicete the problem. If it is still under warrant, contact Longer and tell them what you see.
