I have downloaded Lightburn 2.1.04 to a second computer with windows 11.
I want to bundle my info from the original computer. Do I have to use a flash drive to do this or is there another way?
I am 82 years old and not very tech savvy so please be simple with any replies.
Thanks,
Tom
You could use a flash drive, email it to yourself, or cloud storage system…
Here’s our docs on how to export and migrate:
Have you signed into the License Portal yet?
I just turned 80 today, and I am tech savvy. What has that got to do with anything?
The question is, “Are you trainable?” If “yes”, then quit worrying about what you do not know.
Thanks it worked great!
Tom
I am trainable but not very computer savvy. I can follow instructions well as long as they are written in a “language” that I can understand. The people on this forum are pretty good at bringing down the tech language to something I can understand and follow.
I don’t spend a a lot of time on Lightburn and in order to work with a “tool” like it you have to know the in’s and out’s.I’m still struggling with version 2.1.04 and by the time I figure it out a new version will come along and I’m back to square one again. I also have a lot of irons in the fire right now and trying to spread myself out has become quite a chore for me.
This is why I have to ask so many questions not only here but just about with everything I’m trying to do and learn.
There used to be a TV show,Life Begins at 80 so your still a new born! LOL
You pretty much described my life too, although mine is likely more technical. Ask all the questions you can, and never apologize for that. Desktop lasers are a relatively new technology, and everyone was a “newbie” maybe 5 years ago.
No, not back to square one. Unless the new feature causes you to forget everything you know. ![]()
Just because a new feature comes out does not mean you have to use it, or learn about it. When you need it, then learn it. Just like when you get a new car with a big screen in it.
One thing I will promise you: You will never get bored or reach “Hobby Burnout”.
