Adjust image, picture size different on each image shown

When using adjust image, I change the line interval to 0.065 and then the second image changes size. When I preview the second image, it is completely black. When I enlarge the image, a picture does appear. My question, what view is correct? If it is when I enlarge the image is there any way I can get a one to one comparison? Or should I not care about the size numbers and just look at the second image until I like how it looks?
Thank you.

The preview is showing where the laser will fire. The machines head movements can be seen if show transversal moves is enabled.

Don’t think it’s getting larger, just a higher resolution…

Do you have some short focus lens? Most of these can’t get below a 0.10mm dot size without a shorter lens… That limits the best resolution you can expect to 254 dpi/lpi instead of 391 dpi/lpi.

This setting is very critical to produce the best possible engraving or fill. I suggest you watch the best video I’ve seen by Laser Everything on photo engraving… It shows you how to get the best dpi/lpi any laser with any material can produce… something you’ll need to be clear on your anytime you use a laser…

Good luck

when the image is black I have found the image is indeed black when I burn the image. I had to dial back my settings to get a clear burn. Lower my dpi etc. WYSIWYG on the preview
