Advanced Hotkeys

I’ve built this awesome controller based on available hotkeys in lightburn as well as poking around with Karabiner-Elements “complex modifications” on my mac. My computer is across the room and i’d like to be able to set a few of the other features that aren’t automatically available for hotkeys - is there a way to add these?

The following buttons don’t have a hotkey in the “Move” menu but - I think - would be extremely useful.

Distance: (up and down arrows)
Set Origin
Clear Origin
Set Finish Position
Fire

my goal would be to be able to set distance with a large rotary encoder on my board, push a button to set the origin/clear/finish position, and fire the actual laser to verify position. I know you are super busy but thought I would throw this out there if there’s a file somewhere that can be modified. I’ve owned lightburn for years and love it!

Also - I’ve noticed that the homing sequence hammers the head onto the stops and wonder if the gcode cand be modified to do something similar to the way 3d printers set Z or the way larger cnc tables also home… just a question.

For some machines, the laser head is so bulky it hits the machine frame. If your machine has mechanical / magnetic switches, verify the gantry / laser carrier touch the switches before the head collides with something.

yeah - the D1 is perilous if not wired properly - not my first rodeo with a machine of this type so I routed as recommended. thanks for the heads up! I still love my controller as is but the rest would make this thing just that much better!
