After aligning focus dots, laser no longer marks (only warms the workpiece)

So I’ve been trying to calibrate/align my new 30W monport fiber laser. I got the alignment of the red-dot pretty good (it marks right where the frame shows)… But then I wanted to adjust the “focus dots” so that they appear in the center of the frame (they were slightly off). I did this by loosening the screws that hold them into their ball sockets then moving them into the center of a square frame I created. I thought it all went well, but the next time I tried to mark something, it SEEMED like it was running as normal, but instead of marking it just made the workpiece a little hot. I have the power and frequency set to 60/each (which worked well before on this material). I don’t know if I accidentally changed some setting, but I can’t find the issue.

Any ideas?

I would follow this article about focusing. Sounds like the pointers are off a bit if it was working before.

Thank you! I didn’t realize that would cause this issue. That fixed it.
