Hi
The lightbeam does not Start. The Laser moves according to the set Image but. It does not fire.
Previously i had the Laser engraving Software from the manufacturer. I wanted to Update because the quality was not good enough and could be updated.
I downloaded from wainlux the grbl primeware. Then i loaded the primeware in the controler. Before i changed the com ports.
Then I bought the Lightburn Software on their Homepage. Connected the Laser, entered home Position als well as XY Position. But the Laser does not start. homing works and movement. Laser is running (cooling works and power lamp works) and with Set to 100% power it does not Laser/fire.
Lightburn rund in an old Mac book pro with Mac OS.
Has anyone an idea what is happening? Many thanks in advance!
I have a feeling it the Problem is based on Lightburn syntax. What do you think?
When the wainlux JL3 connects, there should be a message that shares which GRBL revision is being used. It will likely say GRBL 1.1f as this is a modern ‘official release’. Please copy and paste the initial connection message from the console window into a reply here. I would like to confirm that Wainlux did not select GRBL-M3 for their implementation.
There is another possibility that the spindle PWM is far enough out that the laser can’t be seen.
In the Console window, request the settings report by entering the following:
$$
then press enter.
Please copy and paste that report into a reply here.
Also, please use a screen capture tool to capture the Device Settings window like this:
The objective of the two pieces of information is to demonstrate the $30 setting is the same as S-value max.
Syntax issues and conflicts will be reported in the Console window.
Thank you for the fast anwser.
This is what is says in my console:
Auf Verbindung warten… (waiting for connection)
Port failed to open - already in use?

Thes is what it rides in the Consol if i put (show all) on.
So what can i so to fix the problem with the Laser?
In the Move window, what happens if you enter a power value and use the “Fire” button? (Click the Fire button again or the Stop button to stop the laser if it comes on).
Nothing happens. I habe try it in MacBook Pro and Windows 10.
