Air assist always on

hi, I have a problem with air assist, when I turn on the laser, the air pump runs and cannot be turned off. even if I turn it off in the program during engraving, air assist still works, it does not respond to my commands at all, I have it set to M8 in light burn.This is a upgrade kit fitted to a sculpfun s10 any help would be appreciated for this complete novice thanks

You are not talking about the fan on top of the laser head? This is always on.

If you used the upgrade kit, you exchanged the mainboard as well. Next to the connector where you plugged in the pump, there is a blue LED. Is that one on?

The one on top of the laser head? That’s the cooling fan, that can’t be turned off.

my laser fan on the m40 is louder then the air pump. it is louder then the laser and the nema 17’s

Sorry, it was the upgrade kit that i installed with the mainboard
