hello, I have a problem with air assist, when I turn on the laser, the air pump runs and cannot be turned off. even if I turn it off in the program during engraving, air assist still works, it does not respond to my commands at all, I have it set to M8 in light burn Thanks for help
If you send M9 via console, does the pump turn off?
not always running
Does the blue LED next to the air assist connector on the mainboard is always on?

yes it’s still blue
If you send M8, the pump turns on, if you send M9, the pump turns off.
Then the output is not toggled. Try flashing the firmware again:

I tried to reinstall the firmware, but the air assist still does not work, the blue light is still on 
Open the cover. There are more LEDs on that board, so it’s hard to judge which one is on. I think there is only one blue LED, but I don’t know for sure.
what is the boot button for?
If you pull IO1 low during a power up it will jump into the bootloader …you can then flash a new version of firmware. This is pretty common on esp32 controllers.
so i have to press the boot button to load the new firmware?
If you’re loading new firmware into the controller, yes.
It doesn’t sound like that’s what you want to do… I was just answering how the button was used.
