Alarm 3 issue cutting specific shape?

I am here seeking guidence on an issue that i have been running into lately. For background, i am using an Ortur LM2PRO trying to cut cardstock for small boxes. The svg is from a box creator website t h at allows for custom size inputs. I have created a couple different size boxes and keep getting the same error. It will cut about 70% of the program and then run into the issue. The program cuts all perforated fold lines first then makes the through cuts. Every time it gets to the thumbhole relief cut, it will get 60% theough the arc and the laser head will turn off, but the axis motors keep following the path. I have tried to start the cut just before the ‘problem area’ and it still cuts out, starting just after it will cut the rest of the shape juat fine. I have tried to rotate the object, delete half the shape, move it on the work area, but it always does the same thing, in that arc laser power cuts out and alarm 3 appears. Any help would be appreciated.

Post a screen capture of your settings (WIN+SHIFT+S to copy then CTRL+V to paste)

Post your lightburn file here so we can look at the same file that you have … use this button to load the file to the forumimage…

Here is the file that I am using. Sorry, no sure what settings would you like to see?

Did you know that you have stuff way off the grid?

I will go try this file on my Ortur LMP2 and let you know.

A quick trial confirms that my laser head also turns off but continues to move along the right hand side. I reduced the file to 30% of original to fit a piece of scrap I had on hand. I will poke at the file to see what the issue is and if there is a way that I can find to fix the problem.

There was watermarks and labels on the original svg but I deleted them and I cannot currently see them in my file, even with a select all, zoom out, ect.

My results

Restarted the burn where the failure occured, and still no laser on the missing piece.

This is what is hidden off the grid… makes me think the missing line is embedded in the code for copywrite / subscription issues.

Now I am confused…

When I isolated the part that would not cut, duplicated it and moved it to a different layer…it cut like intended. The original piece also cut… I moved it apart from the box.

I don’t have an answer for your Alarm 3. Are all your bolts and drive belts nice and tight?

This is confusing, I had it working when I originally tried the file a couple months ago, then made a change to the dimensions and downloaded a new file, since then it hasn’t worked right. You might be right about some embedded code in there. I will have to play around with the file and see if i can get it to work. At least i know it isn’t a laser/lightburn issue. Thank you for the quick help.

Next time it gives you that problem, grab the part that fails and move it to another layer.
