Hello,
This week i bought LightBurn because freeware wasn’t enough for me.
I’ve already done about 3 jobs that went fine…
Today, I wanted to engrave one motiv to wooden keg something went wrong.
Just for my inner peace i did the motiv on test piece that turned out okay. (pic 1)
But when i’ve finally started to engraving the final keg it stopped in the 1/4.
So i covered the the first 1/4 with metalic tape and ran the program again, but it stopped at the exact place once again… (I tried it many times = same result)
I really don’t know what to do with it. Why did it work on the test piece and not on the final product?
1. What happens when it stops? Are there any changes at the laser?
It simply stops, don’t notice any changes, It’s just doing X movement and suddenly stops.
2. Do you get any errors or message in console?
-Yes, is says something like: Alarm 3, blah, blah, blah (I’m dumb and didnt screenshot the full error, so when i get back to the engraving i will upload the error here)
3. Is the machine still responsive through LightBurn at the end of this?
-Yes, I can normaly send the machine to its home after the error occures. Altho it says something like please restart the Device. (which didn’t helped either)
4. What do you need to do to recover and try again?
-I just go to the defaut position and try again. Also tried the ALT+P command which shows me the path. And I’ve tried to set the program from when the error occured, but it had crashed too.
5. Are the settings the same between test and actual burn?
-Yes, the only difference between the test and final print is the Z axis, because when i did the test engrave I’ve simply put Plywood onto the keg and run the exact same program.
