When using Trace on a image. Is there a way to thicken the trace lines? If I burn the trace my lasers small beam leaves a thin line that is sometimes hard to see. Thanks.
Lines will always by definition be the width of your laser beam. You could potentially do a fill on a traced image in a way to engrave a wider path. This will depend on the actual traced image.
Can you attach a screenshot of the type of thing you’re trying to do or upload the .lbrn file?
Tribal Wolf tile 2.lbrn2 (398.5 KB)
This is one of many I would like to make easier to see on tile after burning. File included in post.
And the finished burn.
Not sure if exactly what you’re going for but you could potentially change the operation from a line to a fill. This will effectively thicken the lines.
I was able to get this look fairly easily.
Steps if you want to try this:
- remove outer square
- select all remaining pieces and group together
- use offset tool to create an outline of the group
- switch to fill for the layer
Wow!! What a difference. I have a lot to learn on this program…Thanks for posting the steps.
You can also take the laser out of focus a little bit, this will make a thicker line.
Thanks for the Tip.
