Anyone Know what happened to RDWorksLab

Signed up and waiting for Admin approval and hadn’t heard anything so I went to rdworkslab.com and the domain is now listed for sale. Did the company vanish?

Not sure about that site. He’s on Laseruser too.

Additionally, his works can be found here:

And here:

Rick, thanks. I’d joined the rdworkslab but had to be approved by an Admin and then when I went back to the link to find out if I was approved the site no longer existed. Just wanted to learn more about the Rudia controller in my OmTech AF2028. Thanks for the link to the YT video.

Yeah, not familiar with them having a site, but haven’t looked. I find his work fascinating, detailed and engaging, but get a cup of your fav beverage and settle in. He goes in deep, so they can be lengthy.

Could this have been a Facebook Group you were signing up for? So many of these groups use very similar names.

Rick, Yes, it was the RDWorkslab Facebook joined but you have to be approved by the Admin and then their link vanished. That is a great video link you sent, have spent the last 2 hours watching them. Thanks so much for the link. He is a great instructor.

…just as I feel about this gracious man :+1:

I logged in back in Sept and saw a message that the site owner could no longer afford to keep the site open, and that he would be shutting it down in late Nov. I saved as many of Russ’ files and drawings as I could. I’m more than happy to share if there is anything you want. Russ may also have a repository of his stuff, but I haven’t gone looking (beyond watching as many of his videos as I can). I’ve made a couple of his “C” series tube target holders, which have come in very handy during beam alignment.

Paul, thanks, I think I’ve found most of them and boy do I wish I had access to the sizes of acrylic he has stockpiled in his shop. I looked at scrap acrylic prices and they seem to be very pricey. Thanks for the feedback.

I have a friend how owns a local sign shop and I have unfettered access to the scrap acrylic bin outside the shop (and if I’ve been good, he’ll let me root through the storage rack inside as well).
