How does one go about centering an array?
I have a rectangle 4"X11.75" and I want 12 circles (1.5"), 2 columns and 6 rows. I want to center them vertically as well as horizontally.
What do you want to center them to?
Inside the rectangle.
Group circles select them, then the rectangle and click bullseye at top.
Easy:
- Create the rectangle
- Create the array of circles
- Select the entire array of circles
- Shift-select the rectangle (this makes it the last thing added to the selection)
- Click the
Align Center
tool - Profit!
I tried to group the circles prior to posting. They didn’t group for some reason?
Perhaps you had Virtual Array
turned on when you created the array, in which case only the first circle appears in the selection, even though the whole array moves as a group. The centering trick won’t work in that case.
If that’s not what’s going on, upload the offending *.lbrn2 file so everybody can take a look at it.
Yes, only the first circle would select. I’ll go and look at it again.
Yep that was the culprit.
Thanks for the assist.
