Art Library Rant

I love Lightburn for the most part, but the Art library is by far the most irritating pain in the butt frustrating useless part of Lightburn, hands down.
The concept is great, but the implementation is horrible.
It imports to your workspace UNTITLED and with no saved cut settings.
Make a change to the project and only option to save changes is to look at project in library and type the name exactly the same and confirm you want to overwrite. And what is this for? Always greyed out.

So, you go thru all that and when you want to use it again the cut settings are basically random.
Maybe there is something I am missing here, and I don’t have it configured right. If so, I apologize for the rant, but I don’t think I am missing any settings, and this is just poorly designed.

The art library does not store any cut settings. It only stores layer color. Any settings that are applied when you import a graphic to a project are the settings that are already in use in that project, or default settings if you have your Lightburn configured to load defaults. Just like if you import an SVG or other graphic file, it uses whatever settings are active in your file.

I agree that I don’t like the file name dialog, but not sure how it coud be made to work differently.

Not sure why you can’t have an .lbrn library.
Organized with thumbnails just like art library but with all the names, settings, save and save as functionality.

You do, it’s called File Explorer in Windows, set your view to Medium Icons or larger and you get that functionality. I just wish they had file previews for Mac OS like they do in Windows.
