I would like to use the art library with multiple users.
I make custom house numbers, there is a blank file there. I always open it edit and cut.
However, I would like to use that flow with multiple users.
The art library is in a Google Drive folder.
The first user can see the blank file, edit and save it back to the art library as a temp file. I see Google Drive synced the .lbart file.
The second user’s drive downloaded the file but did not update the file automatically in LB, I see I need to unload and load again the lbart file. How can I make it quicker?
The Art Library file is not intended for multi-user concurrent access.
Some models that could work:
- unidirectional distributed model where changes are made at one computer and referenced in the other computers after sync
- a manual locking model where all computers reference the same file and only one computer at a time is making changes to the model and then other computers refresh
Having said that, there are known issues with using any cloud backup solution with any LightBurn files where files become corrupted. There’s no published solution for this currently. If you attempt this I’d advise you to take rigorous external backups of the library files if they are at all precious to you. Do not count on the cloud backup itself to serve as the backup.
