Hi, we’ve been engraving tumblers for our family ranch and we keep getting artifacts on the powder coating.
80 watt JPT Mopa Laser, 210mm lens. 800 speed, 80 power and 60 frequency. Could this be something my artwork is causing?
Is it actually firing on these anomalies…?
I’m assuming it’ the discolored center area you’re referring…
I haven’t tried my rotary with anything yet… but I’ve never see marks like that… I’m not sure how the pulse works on the coating…
Sorry, not much help…
Yes, its unexpected firing. It doesn’t seem to happen if I reduce the size of the image that is engraved on the tumbler.
I wish I could tell you… I’ve had my mopa since the 1st of the month and I’m still finding things on it…
If they are size dependent, does anything show up on the preview…?
If anything is there, it will show in the preview… Might have to zoom in to find it…
If it’s not within the artwork, that leaves the machine end… There is always a possibility of bugs, as this is relatively new software.
The only other thing I know about is the delay and I am clueless how to set those up. Doubt that’s the issue anyway.
Check your artwork… it’s odd that it will change with size…
