Atomstack A24 Pro: Laser Module (20w)

Hi All. I am new to this forum and a rookie laser user. Hope this is the correct place to post my questions.
I have the Atomstack A24 Pro 20W and use LightBurn. To date I have been very pleased with what I have achieved with this set up. I use air assist and it’s in an enclosure with extractor fans. Also I have been making sure lens end of module is clean. HOWEVER! I know I have made a rookie mistake and not kept the module cooling air intake fan clean and it now has a build up of sticky soot on the fan and all over the internal pcb controller in the module head. A few questions:

  1. Can I get spare parts for the laser module (new fan and possibly a new control board)? If yes where?
  2. Can I get just a new laser module?
  3. Has anybody ever sonic cleaned the laser module pcb control module using an appropriate pcb cleaning solution?

I’ve done my best at cleaning it but it is still very dirty. Fortunately it is still cutting fine so just planning my future options. I have learned a valuable lesson of good regular and frequent cleaning, all parts, is important.

Thanks in advance.

  1. Not likely because they buy those modules as a unit without spare parts. There is a good chance you can find a fan replacement if you pay close attention to the dimensions and the volts/amps rating. Those are dirt cheap.
  2. Maybe, if you contact Atomstack. Platinum expensive. If you get one for a spare, make sure you test it before the return period expires.
  3. There are well established procedures and chemicals for cleaning electronic circuit boards. Follow those guidelines and you should be good to go.

Seems like everyone learns this lesson the hard way. :joy:
