Atomstack A5PRO Trouble - HELP!

Just got an A5Pro and its been nothing but trouble, the thing cant draw a straight line to save its life! split, squiggly, and ghosted images, the test squares look like nothing I’ve ever seen, wavy and split lines everytime

!

I included a pic of something I did with my gangou just to show I’m not a total doofus at this

Any help is appreciated.

Well check belts, check focus and check frame, atm i can think only ay those three things

Post the file you are using and your a screengrab of your settings.

It looks like you have overscan on, too fast of speeds and a wobbly gantry. The screws where the laser head mounts on the gantry are concentric so turn them until it’s tight but smooth. Mine didn’t have that and I made some with putty and sanding. Not perfect but better than before.

for a file I just drew a square and used fill with a .5mm interval
3000/75 speed/power

and the laser head…this thing seems WAY too loose for a laser engraver, there’s about .07in of (north<–>south) play that doesn’t respond at all to tightening the screws. I’m on the fence whether to cut the lower roller hole into a slot so it can actually adjust the belt tension or just return this headache.

If you can return the machine, DO IT. I wouldn’t recommend an AtomStack to anyone. I own one. When it dies it’ll be good riddance.

Ortur has support in the forum, you can get an NEJE if you want power but I’m not sure of build quality, or you can get a JPhotonics which is spendy but looks well made.

You can also get a K40 and really dig in.
