Love my new Atomstack A70 pro with one annoyance. The manual laser head Z adjustment knob is very small and kind of buried behind the laser module so you have to reach around to manually move the laser head up or down for fine adjustments. Guess i could use auto focus.
My SF-A9 is the same. Reading your problem triggered a solution for both of us. Find a piece of somewhat stiff flexible tubing, about 3" (75mm) long, and slip it over the knob.
I think i found a solution. An 18mm 12 pt socket fits very nicely over the knob and makes it much easier to turn. Just slip it on when you want to adjust the Z axis. A deep 18mm socket would probably be much better but i don’t have one.
Cool solution. Mine is a 11mm diameter knurled knob, nothing for the socket to grab.
Guess my solution only work for the Atomstack A70 Pro
That is okay, it is still a good idea. Put a rubber band around it for grip.
I’m not very good at CAD but I was able to design an 18mm 6 point longer socket for 3D Printing. I don’t have a 3D Printer but my grandson has one I bought for him a while ago. I will get him to print this out for me and see if this will work. Here’s the file. Just need to change the extension from .txt to .stl.
