Atomstack A70 Pro/Max

Love my Atomstack A70 Pro with one exception. The Z axis adjustment screw is behind the laser mounting plate and hard to access with my fat fingers. Here’ my solution. A 3D Printed 18mm Deep Socket that slips over the adjustment screw. Works like a charm

Not sure if your control board has a Z axis on it but if it does, an even better solution would be to put a motor on it.

There is a motor on it and it has auto focus but at times it’s easier to do final adjustment manually

You do realize that means the machine no longer knows where the Z is, right?
There’s no feedback with stepper motors. If you tell it to move 2mm’s, and then you move it 2 more mm’s, the machine still thinks it’s a 2 mm’s when it’s actually at 4 mm’s.
Not a very good idea.

It works just fine setting the Z axis manually with the adjusting screw. As long as i don’t have a Cut/Layer that would move the Z axis down when running the job the machine doesn’t seem to mind that i manually adjusted the Z axis. I don’t get any out of bounds or any other errors. If I had different Z axis settings in subsequent layers in the job then, yes, it might be an issue.

Once the machine is homed. If I would manually move the X or Y axis then the machine doesn’t like that and i do get an error and have to rehome the machine. But that is only if Lightburn is set to Absolute Position. If its set to Current Position no error here either. Maybe an Out of Bounds warning but would still allow me to continue if I wanted.
