Atomstack Air Assist problem

I’m new to the forum and lasers in general. I picked up an Atomstack A5 Pro+ used recently and have already made some cool projects. I’m learning Lightburn and that’s going pretty well. I decided to add an air assist to my engraver so I bought an Atomstack F30. I installed the nozzle and connected it all up seemingly without issue. However, when I ran a Materials Test, I got nothing. No sign whatsoever that the laser was working. I could see the spot where it was hitting the material but there was no result. I turned the air assist off and got the same thing. The parameters I was using on the material test were more than sufficient to see some effect. I disconnected the air assist and reinstalled the original shroud and everything was fine. Same material and settings and I got engraving and cutting. I’m going to reach out the manufacturer’s tech support tomorrow or Monday but does anyone have an idea what might be going on?

It’s always nice to have some kind of links so we can see what you have and what may be an issue.

It’s pretty clearly the air assist nozzle that’s blocking the beam… it might be reflecting off the nozzle…

Smart to get the manufacturer involved… if it’s a known issue they would know…

Other than that, ensure there is a clear path to the material… Eyeball the parts and see if you can see a misalignment or some other mechanical mount issue.

Good luck
