Hi all, the subject says it all, I received the Atomstack R3 yesterday and went to hook it up with my laser. I have seen that the two middle wires may need swapping around. How will I know if that needs to be done in my case and will it cause any harm to the laser or rotary unit plugging it in to see if it actually works without swapping over the wires? Has anyone been through the same issue. I can’t find an answer anywhere.
Ok it looks like I only need to use the white cable. I have further read that the swapping of the middle pins on the black connector was only to make an extension cable for the R3 that was connected to an Atomstack Engraver. After configuring everything and I hit the test button in Lightburn, the laser head moves a little and then the roller spins 7 times in one direction and 7 times back again. I have read it should only be one rotation either way. When I hit the home button in Lightburn it rotates 12 times anti clockwise. (So spinning back towards the control box end. Any ideas and if that sounds even right?
So turns out 51 mm gives me one rotation each way. Anything else I should be aware of now before I start trying a few tests on some painters tape around some glasses? One thing I have just wondered should it be one rotation of the roller or do you mean one full rotation of the glass being worked on? Second image gives one full rotation of a glass I have taped up to work on.
