Do not have one, but I can think of two:
- The output power of these modules is typically in the 2w range (I could not find it listed on the Atomstack site).
- The beam is very small, so you will have to make more passes to cover the same area. This means projects will likely take longer than what you see with the diode laser.
However, you can do (or not do) stuff with it you cannot do with a visible light diode. This Forum posting might be educational. Bear in mind all IR modules likely come out of the same Chinese factory.
