I have just purchased a Atomstack X40. I come from a X20 / X30.
I setup it correctly, but the simulation screen time does not match with the real time. The simulation screen says 6 minutes, and it takes around 7 in the test I have done.
Wich values do you have?
In device settings / aditional settings I have: (mm/sec)
max x 500 / y 100
cut acc x 1000 / y 1000
engrave acc x 1000 / y 1000
rapid speed 300
corner 0.01
minimun corner speed 1
scale 100/100
Notice they are “read from controller”
If I switch to the X30 laser, the values are:
max x 100 / y 100
cut acc x 1000 / y 1000
engrave acc x 1000 / y 1000
rapid speed 100
corner 0.01
minimun corner speed 1
scale 100/100
The very same file says the very same time, but the X30 was accurate as hell, and the X40 was slower than simulated. It should be at least as fast as the X30, isnt it?
Not necessarily. I guess the X40 has more power than the X30? Then the laser head will be heavier. At the same settings, the X40 has to move more mass and will be slower.
Also be aware that most “maximum speed” advertisements of manufacturers are just unrealistic and no matter if they increased the maximum speed on paper, it does not mean that it will be faster in reality. Additionally, top speeds can only be reached in specific cases, where you have long, straight travel lines.
Adjust the speed settings until you get a match. Then your laser can reach the theoretical speed.
Which settings did you use and what did the project look like?
