I am aware of that, I shouldve been more specific.
What I meant to ask is if the camera is as such suitable from a technical perspective. Considering its price (cheap) and all.
I have an Atomstack AC1 which I use with my NEJE… and the AC1 5MP is substanially more expensive than the Aliexpress 8MP 120°.
I don’t really think so. It’s best to have as few wide-angle as possible. For a 400x400 workspace, a common distance is 40cm for a camera with a decent wide-angle. If you have a 800x800 workspace, I’d suggest having at least 80cm, better 120cm height for the camera. If you want to have the full workspace covered. Of course you can go lower and use more wide-angle, but this will decrease quality heavily. You will be far away from mm-precision then, which most people like to have.
I’d go for a standard camera that covers roughly 400x400 and only use that section with the camera. It doesn’t really make sense for huge projects anyhow.
