Atomstack x70 max laser module problem

I’m using an Atomstack X70 Max. We used it fine, but it started behaving strangely a while ago. The working area is 850x800, but the laser module only emits light in one area. It even works randomly. For example, the laser only turns on within a certain range on the Y-axis.We’re not having much trouble with the X-axis. Please help.

Sounds like a bad electrical connection somewhere or power supply issue or laser head issue. Axis movement shouldn’t have anything to do with the firing of the laser. Position the laser head over a work piece. Then set the laser power at something like 30%. Fire the laser and wiggle the connection on top of the laser head and see if you can get the issue to occur. What do you mean the laser only emits light in one area?

As you see from the pictures the working area is 850800 but it only behaves like 400800. also the laser is turned on rondamly sometimes

If it doesnt recognize the full size bed then you dont have the configuration set up correctly in lightburn. In lightburn go to machine settings and see what $130 and $131 are. Those should match the bed size of your machine and you would use those values when setting up the profile in lightburn. Maybe your machine doesnt have the correct values there. In which case you need to change them. I believe X Max travel $130 should be 850 and Y Max travel $131 should be 800 in both the machine settings and your Lightburn Device Setup. Here’s a copy of the settings from my A70 Max that shows the correct X and Y settings.

We finally found the problem. The cable is broken. We’re replacing it. I think it will work. Thank you for your interest.
