August 2024 Image Engraving

The weather has been too hot to work in yard or woods so I have been firing up the laser.
My set-up: Omtech CO2 60W/50W, 5200 Chiller, assist air connected through dryer to my shop compressor, and I am on a Mac with LB.

Stucki, ( don’t like Jarvis)

Speed 225, power 45%, amp load variable from 3mA - 8mA while engraving. When cutting speed 7-10, power 50%, 8mA - 14mA. Material is 1/8" White Birch both sides with MDF core .
I have two exhaust fans connected directly to the laser.

This is Illusion 3D.

Had to put picture of our Sheltie 7 months old

The engraving turned out awesome! The edges nearly had me fooled. I thought it was a layered frame but zooming in it looks like its all part of the engraved image on a flat piece of wood.

Also cute puppers

That’s very nice, as usual… It sure looks 3d

I see a future spoiled animal or as I call mine a rotten dog … I know that’s how it would end up in my home …

:smile_cat:

I have been known to train the wild deer to approach me when I feed them. Our dogs, present, future, passers bye have always been “rotten.” This one, “FERGY” is another special.

Yep, it is all one piece engraved on 1/8" birch.
The 3D Illusion amazes me everytime I do one.

Done this logo on a key chain for a local restaurant:
