Ballpark on determining the material cut settings?

Hey, I recently purchased a new laser and right now I can not find a cut settings. How do people determine what the material test range should be without wasting a bunch of material? I can tell my new laser is much stronger than before so I would like to know if there is a secret formula to figure out where to start as the minimum and max speeds and power on the built-in material test.

Thanks,

Henry

I was able to find a Parameter Table with suggested settings for various materials on Longer’s website:

Many manufacturers will provide similar tables, so searching for them or contacting your laser’s manufacturer for help is always a great place to find starting points for testing.

More information on using LightBurn’s Material Test is available here:

JTR,
LOL, they must have updated within the last few days…lol. I should have checked again before my post. Less than a week ago nothing was there under the B1 40. I am really starting to be impressed with Longer and their support.
