Hi everyone, I’m sharing a new project
with you: 29 hours of machining time on a linden wood blank. I made a mistake during the process where the finishing bit—a 3.175mm conical cutter—gouged a 2cm mark into the piece. I started over from scratch; since the wood is soft yet dense, I ran the finishing pass directly without a roughing pass. Some might frown at that, but the final result looks good to me. Naturally, I used a 5% stepover, given the conical bit with a 0.25mm tip. Finished with an oak stain and linseed oil.
