Ok, after disconnecting everything from power and waiting a couple of minutes, it seems that the machine is jogging correctly without needing to enter the reset command. Also, I saw the update about toggling off the auto jog to move the Z-axis, so I did, and it does.
As of right now, it looks as though whatever daemon possessed my machine has been exercised. I thank each and every one of you for taking the time to help me. All I need to do now, I hope, is learn how to use the software.
Sometimes things need a power cycle but you could also try first resetting the connection, in your case you have a controller in the middle that may or may not add codes to the Code outputted by Lightburn, worth checking if you can disable/simplify something with CarbideMotion.
