I am a raw beginner and have just bought the software - looks great so far. Ive done a few basic thibgs like adding text and images etc, but I want to “sort of freehand draw” a curved and dotted line, to be burned as same. I can draw a striaght line of course, but is there an easy way ( I need a step by step hand hold ) to achieve my goal ?

If you draw a line, then select it and choose the ‘Node Edit’ tool. Then grab along the line and drag, you will see that the line is then converted to an arc. Node Editing - LightBurn Software Documentation
For dashed or dotted lines, look into the ‘Perforation’ mode or ‘Dot’ mode settings, Line Settings - LightBurn Software Documentation
