I have been playing with wrap and deform selection. this works great with text but I need to bend oblong shapes. can any one help.
The above link includes a link to an Inkscape tutorial (free program) which allows one to distort anything on the screen, not limited to text.
Try Warp Selection under Tools. Also try Deform Selection under Tools
Both of these should work with Oblong Shapes
