Better results with black and white line drawing

I created a very large and detailed hand drawing (saved it as SVG). I want to run it as approximatley 4"- 4.5" on either cherry or maple wood.
I have a laguna Ex co2 150 watt. I did an image trace in lightburn, set to fill, settings 450speed 50/10 power 200 DPI, sized it to 4" and ran it on maple wood. This is the result -

I know I’m trying to take lots of detail and shrink it down and that’s why the smaller animals are blobs. I’m really wanting to avoid re drawing everything to simplify.
Will I get better results using the image mode? I’ve never used image mode so I wouldn’t even know where to start.

What fill are you usibg. If its greyscale youll have problems with that much detail. Try stucki or one of the other dot fills.
